Part-time Librarian
Mrs. Dina Peak
Contact me: Fast Direct
Hi! My name is Mrs. Peak, and I am the part-time library media specialist at St. Peters School. I always enjoy finding new ways to make reading and research fun and worthwhile. Before I became a librarian, I taught at the elementary and middle school levels. When I am not a librarian, I stay busy with my family. I also enjoy gardening, kayaking, biking, and of course, reading! My philosophy is that you should never be caught without a good book! I look forward to working with you this school year!
Library Volunteers
Many of our parents volunteer in the library! When you come to the library please treat the volunteer with the utmost respect. Use the shelf markers provided in the library to keep our library neat and organized. Follow my philosophy-always have a book on hand to read!

About the Library
At the St. Peter Library, our goal is to provide the best services possible to our students, including providing access to both print and electronic resources. Our mission is to help students nurture a love of reading as well as develop the information literacy skills necessary to become productive, lifelong
learners. The LMC is divided into three main sections for student use.
These sections are:
The Research Corner - Two chrome books are available for using the library web site, searching for library books on destiny, and research.
Nonfiction Section - Nonfiction books are shelved in the middle of the library. They are arranged according to the Dewey Decimal system.
Fiction Section - One wall comprises the fiction section. In the near future it should be arranged by genre or category. Each book will contain a genre label. The goal is to help make the selection process for recreational reading and SSR more productive and enjoyable. The genres are:
mystery, sports, science fiction, fantasy, adventure, classics, realistic fiction, humor, and historical fiction
Series Section - Along another wall are fiction books in a series for elementary students.
Primary Grade Section - Along one wall of the library are E or (Everybody) books. These are picture books, or books for the primary grades. We also have a section of leveled readers.
